HARALD SEIME began his artistic career as a musician and a mime in Stadtroda, Thuringia, where he was born in 1936.
Inspired by Marcel Marceau, Hanna Berger and Henryk Tomaszewski, he founded the Pantomime Studio at the Friedrich Schiller University, Jena, in 1959.
HARALD SEIME has staged performances is every theater in Thuringia, trained mimes and performers from a variety of genres and has been honored with numerous prices and awards for his solo and ensemble work. His successful guest appearances have taken him throughout Europe.
Courses, workshops and international festivals which have existed since 1979 with the support of the Office for Cultural Affairs in Jena, have been met with enthusiasm.
HARALD SEIME teaches the art of movement and fencing in the Friedrich Schiller University Sports Department.
